@gckilbb -- Error: no boot disk has been detected or disk has failed

A few possibilities:

  1. the "power" cable is not connected to the disk-drive;
  2. the "power" cable is not sending power to the disk-drive;
  3. one end of the "data" cable is not connected to the disk-drive;
  4. the other end of the "data" cable is not connected to the motherboard;
  5. the "data" cable is damaged, and does not transmit/receive;
  6. the motherboard is configured to "ignore/disable" the disk-drive;
  7. the disk-drive has failed -- it does not spin, or its electronic circuit-board has failed;

You may need to replace the disk-drive, and to reinstall Windows.
