My HP ProDesk 400 G7 is not recogning the display iiyama ProLite X2483HSU-B2,

Specs are Intel i5-10500f and zotac rtx 3050.

I don’t understand the problem, I moved recently, and got this monitor for free, it does work, the cables work I tested it with MacBook.

I do have Fast Boot BIOS option ON, so after back and forth with AI it did started working for a while after my 7th attempt but after restarting the PC in prder to turn off the Fast boot it stopped working again.

What should I do?

Hi @b1achi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for explaining the issue and for confirming that the iiyama ProLite X2483HSU-B2 and the cables work correctly with your MacBook. Since the monitor did work with this PC previously, I would first check the video connection and startup state of the PC.

Please try these steps in order:

  1. Make sure the monitor is connected directly to the RTX 3050.
If the PC has both motherboard video ports and ports on the NVIDIA graphics card, connect the monitor to the RTX 3050 video output, not the motherboard port. HP recommends using the active/discrete GPU port when a graphics card is installed.

  2. Power off both the PC and monitor.
Disconnect the monitor's power for about 30 seconds, reconnect it, and make sure the monitor is set to the correct input source (HDMI/DisplayPort). Then reconnect the video cable firmly at both ends.

  3. Try another video output on the RTX 3050, if available. If you are currently using HDMI, try another available port such as DisplayPort. HP also recommends testing another known-working video cable where possible.

  4. Perform a power reset of the PC.
Shut down the PC, disconnect the power cable and all nonessential peripherals, then hold the power button for about 15 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and start the PC. This does not erase your personal data.

  5. Since you mentioned Fast Boot, if you can get the display back, enter BIOS Setup by restarting the PC and pressing F10 when the HP Startup Menu appears. Check the Fast Boot setting and disable it, then save the changes and restart.

If the monitor still shows No Signal, please let me know:

  • Whether you see the HP logo when the PC starts.
  • Whether the monitor specifically displays No Signal or remains completely blank.
  • Which RTX 3050 port you are using (HDMI or DisplayPort).
  • Whether the PC continues booting into Windows even though there is no display.

If you have another monitor or TV available, please also try connecting it to the RTX 3050. This will help determine whether the issue is with the display connection or the PC's video output.

Please let me know the results of these steps, and if you have any questions while trying them, I will be happy to help you work through them.
