Microsoft 365 Defender is reporting vulnerabilities with a lot of HP computers needing their Openssl updated. We did not install Openssl nor do our users need Openssl. Does HP install Openssl with their initial Windows image, or drivers/firmware updates?

Same issue here.
If, in the M365 Security Recommendations section, I report it as an inaccuracy, it tells me where it has found the OpenSSL version to update:

Looks to be the HP Hardware Diag software - loathed to uninstall, as quite useful for BIOS, etc, but looking to see if there is an update for it.
