Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to install a Windows 7 64bit on a HP Z2 G5 PC that came with a windows 10 64 bit, BIOS blocking the installation, "Selected boot image did not authenticate."

Has anybody tried to install a different O/S on this generation of PC's

Thanks

Hi:

Looking at the specs for that model series, I don't see any way that you are going to get W7 to work because no W7 drivers were developed for any PC with specs like yours.

My guess is you are getting that error because secure boot is enabled in the BIOS.

W7 is not compatible with secure boot, so you will need to disable that setting.

Then you will probably not be able to proceed past the Install Now screen because there are no USB 3 drivers to get the keyboard or mouse to work.

If your PC has PS/2 ports, you can get past that by using a PS/2 keyboard and mouse.

Then maybe you will be able to install W7, and have no drivers for just about everything.
