Looking for drivers for windows 10 for my pc.  After reloading Win 10, after a hard drive replacement, Microsoft told me I may run into problems, in time, because I don't have drivers for win 10.

Good.

Bad.

There's a current TV commercial, talking about the theory that bees should not be able to fly -- not enough "lift" from their wings to propel their weight.

Similarly, that Tech's "theory" is not supported by the "experimental" evidence.

Don't worry, BEE happy.  🙂

Hi,

No Windows 10 drivers from its support pages

          http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-p6-Desktop-PC-series/5295969/model/52969...

Now, the quick way is to run Windows updates few times, Windows 10 will find drivers for you. At the end, 1 or 2 still missing, please post back.

Regards.

Windows updater has been run several times.  Windows is upto date message. From my understanding of what the Microsoft support I was speaking with, the drivers were not available from HP for my pc. So do the drivers for this software come fom HP or Microsoft?

Thanks

Were you running Windows 10 before the disk-drive failed?

HP does not provide any downloadable device-drivers for Windows 10.

But, since you're implying that you were successfully running Windows 10, it's probable that HP provided the device-drivers to Microsoft, to be downloadable via Windows Update.

When you open the Windows "Device Manager", is there any "missing" or "unknown" hardware?
Are you getting only "low-resolution" video?  No sound?

Use the Windows "Snipping Tool" to do a screen-grab of the "Device Manager" window, and post it here.

Windows 10 was installed, free upgrade July, 2016 and I didn't seem to have a problem, prior to the hard drive replacement. I'm  presently unaware of any problem, just going by what the Microsoft Tech said. He also said to keep the Recovery Disc, from HP for Win 8 in case.  By that, I can only guess that he foresaw a possible problem in the future.  Then again, I may have nothing to worry aboutr.
