The Windows OS is not warranted by HP, just provided by HP. I do not work for HP, but IMHO the Windows OS is constantly changing and is a Microsoft product. It does not make any changes to the hardware which is what HP warranty covers.
So, the fact that the OS is changed should not affect the HP warranty. Plus, if the HP product is new enough to have a warranty still is affect, then you can always put it back the way it was from the factory before requesting service work under the warranty. HP Cloud Recovery tool or HP Recovery Manager can do that. Do some research on those before making any changes, so you can get it back to factory in case things do not go as planned. Go idea to do that even if you do not make any changes.
I'm not an HP employee.
