Hi I saved a file in a video software and an empty folder was created by default on my HP desktop. It is empty, with just the name of the file I had saved. I cant delete it and it sticks there even after a windows update! Please can someone help me???

Many thanks!

It's odd that you cannot delete an empty shortcut on the Desktop.

"Desktop" is like other "folders" - you can open it from within your Account in File Explorer.

Open your account top level folder > Open Desktop folder

Right-Click on the offending shortcut and select "Delete"

If the shortcut won't delete, try opening the File Location or Properties to see if you can find out anything else about the shortcut.
