Hi there,

I hope someone can help me sort this out, as a freelancer,  I really need to get back up and running but this problem is beyond my expertise!

I tried to reset my computer to factory settings today as I was having storage issues with the C drive being so small, so I backed up all my docs and decided to start from scratch and partition the drives properly.

I tried twice to reset the computer (taking back to factory settings) using Windows settings, both failed, I then tried again using HP utilities which is now giving me the Bios error O3FO.

So far I have used the HP virtual agent which didn't help, gone into the bios settings F9 and checked the bios order which is fine, checked the hard drives (f11) all fine and tried to reset to the default settings which didn't work.

I'm totally at a loss at what to do now to fix this.

Thank you in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.

@ClaireAbeLLa,

As you did not state the exact model of this computer and mentioned words:

1) I was having storage issues with the C drive being so small

2) partition the drives properly.

Reset the BIOS to the default settings if you were in there.

1) Unplug the power from the 2nd hard drive, if it does exist. Unplug any added USB hardware (drives, printer, thumb drives).

2) Then perform the factory reset from the WIndow settings.
