When booting up my HP all-in-one PC 22 - B103W. II got the screen that came up for the hard drive test which showed that my smart check passed and my long dst failed. I am not really entirely sure what that means. And then after that, it gave me an error code number.64N14X-8P01-GXPT6K-60XB03 Does anybody know exactly what this means For my PC all-in-one or does anybody know how to set up the recovery disk for HP Windows 10 and 8.1. Or how to factory reset my PC back to f The way it was when I first pulled it out of the box. That is of course, back in 2016.? Possibly, I'm kind of dumb in this area. But I just need a little help.

Hi:
Enter the required information at the link below, and it should provide a general overview of the problem and the recommendation for how to fix it.

A 24- character long or short DST failure normally means that you will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

It sounds like your HP all-in-one PC is encountering some issues during boot-up. The error code you provided could be related to the failed DST (Drive Self Test), which typically indicates a problem with the hard drive. The code may help HP support diagnose the specific issue, so it's valuable information to have when seeking help.
Regarding your options:
Failed DST (Drive Self Test): This could mean your hard drive has encountered a problem. If you have important data on the PC, it might be wise to try backing it up if possible before proceeding further.
Recovery Disk Creation for Windows 10 and 8.1: HP usually provides a utility to create recovery disks. You can check HP's support website for your specific model to find instructions on how to create recovery media. This will help you reinstall the operating system if needed.
Factory Reset: If you want to reset your PC back to its factory settings (like when it was new out of the box in 2016), there's usually an option to do this within the PC's settings. However, if the hard drive is failing, this process might not be successful. It's recommended to attempt data backup before performing a factory reset.
As for feeling "kind of dumb" in this area, don't worry at all! Technology can be complex, and troubleshooting PC issues can be challenging even for experienced users. Asking for help and seeking guidance is a smart move.
If you're uncomfortable performing these steps yourself, reaching out to HP support or a local technician could be a good idea. They can guide you through the process or help diagnose the issue more accurately.
Remember, backing up important data should be a priority before attempting any major changes to the system.
