Error message when opening MS Word: 'The operating system is not configured to run this system'.

I'm using an HP model # 550-200na, software build 15WE3FRT612#SABU#DABU

The error message is new - like the last couple of days - before this I had no issues logging into MS applications - I get the error message when trying to open Excel also

Anyone have the same issue and know what to do, please help?
