Error with pin on my desktop and it won’t let me reset it. It asks if I want to search for an app

I’m getting a message “something happened and your pin isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again.”  When I click on “set up my PIN”, nothing happens. When I click a second time it tells me I need an app to install.

Have you made any changes to your PC hardware or software?
