I recently purchased an HP Victus from Costco and since I got it today I keep getting these crashes that sometimes freezes my computer whenever I try to play a game. For Assassins Creed Origins it crashes on start screen while Crusader Kings 3 crashes on the interactive map for instance. When it crashes the game will freeze and the monitor will go black and make a weird click. Sometimes it goes back to desktop. Sometimes it doesn't.
In the event viewer I normally get a Event 4101 error that says "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and successfully recovered," and Event 0 nvlddmkm, and Event 10016 DistributedCom.
I've tried everything from online of including uninstalling the NVIDIA drivers with DDU and then reinstalling them, unchecking Hardware-accelerated GBU scheduling, checking optimization for windowed games, and disabling VT on the bios.
Reminder: this is a brand NEW computer so nothing has been changed. I've also asked help from the Microsoft and the NVIDIA community and I'm waiting for a reply.
My monitor is an Acer H233H. My specs are:
