HP Z4 G4 Workstation IDS Base Model

I get this error in Event Viewer about 12 times a day.  I could go into the Registry and increase the timeout limit (currently 30 seconds) , but that's just  sweeping the problem under the rug.

From digging around on-line, this is some sort of HP cyber security program, and it may just be that it takes it's time to do its thing.  If that's the case, somebody at HP needs to either speed it up, or provide info on adjusting the time-out to an appropriate value.

I'm all in favor of cyber security, but not when it generates errors all the time...

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

I did some more research.   I did a Google search on "HP Assess and Respond", and got a hit on an HP Wolf Security Support web site.  It didn't provide any useful information.  When I searched that web site, HP's search didn't even find the article I'd just been looking at...

I have two HP workstations, both Z4 G4's.  My other machine is a couple years newer, and it does not have this program installed.  My wife also has two HP workstations for her business, and neither of them have it either.    I tried the auto-updater in HP Support Assistant to see if maybe there was an update for it, and it didn't come up with anything.

Given that nobody can tell me what the program does, it is the source of numerous errors and warnings EVERY day in Event Viewer, and three out of the four HP workstations we have do NOT have this program installed, it's just been uninstalled.

As far as I'm concerned, it's malware.  I'm very disappointed in HP for installing something that causes so many problems, and then not providing ANY information on what it's supposed to be good for.

I did some additional digging in Event Viewer.  The HP Assess and Respond program is also responsible for a couple hundred additional warnings (not to mention many hundreds of "information" events).  The details on the warnings show:

Unable to obtain a cert using file path! Now trying reading file contents and trying again...

I'm beginning to get really annoyed at this program, especially because HP apparently provides ZERO information or support on it.  I can't find any useful information on it.  It may be part of the the Wolf security system, but it's hard to tell.
