Microsoft recommended updating the bios to F.57, now I cannot shut down the computer properly.

If your PC can load Windows and you can use Windows then try BIOS recovery tips at this link

Kudos to @pcgraphix's BIOS recovery tips.

 

You may have to find a local PC tech who can get this done for you if your attempts to fix this problem fail.
