Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I inherited a HP Pavillion desktop from a relative that passed away. They did not write down the password for the computer. I am needing to factory reset it anyways because I know they had a lot of junk on the computer. How can I factory reset it without a password?

Edit: it actually is W10 64 bit

Hi:

Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to.

You can clean install W10 by making a bootable installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Make the 64 bit installation media.  HP did not make any PC's that came with W10 32 bit.

When you get to the screen that asks where do you want to install Windows, delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.  Click Next, and W10 will install.

If the PC did not come with W10 but was upgraded from an older operating system...If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the "I don't have a product key' option.

After W10 has completed installing you can install the drivers and available software from the specific model PC's support page.
