Hi,
Try this if you are doing a reset within Windows:
Open an administrative command prompt. Enter the following commands one at a time.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Also check hardware (Link) if the above does not work.

If you still have the original HP image on there, then When the PC is off, turn it on and keep tapping F11. This will take you to the HP Factory Restore option. You're trying to do the stock Windows 10 reset, not the HP one.
If that fails, you can make a genuine HP recovery USB from this link:
