The cloud recovery tool has restored a notebook factory reset on my Desktop, How can i obtain the correct reset?

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

Wow, you followed instructions at this HP site (Link) resulting in a different HP product cloud recovery.

 

You could contact HP for assistance (Link) or do a clean Windows 10 install by creating W10 installation media at this Microsoft site (Link).

 

Select "I don't have a product key" during installation. Windows should auto activate when you are connected to your network.
