Product: HP Pavilion 27 inch All-in-One Desktop PC 27-d1000i (1U0B4AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

There are two wires connecting the screen to the computer board. The one on the right is labelled "SCL" . I was having blank screen problems with occasional flashing white lines and eventually checked the two screen leads. The "SCL" lead was loose and it appears the connector on the board no longer clips properly to secure the lead. My local computer shop said this was a fault with a lot of HP AIOs and washed their hands of it (not at all helpful). I have had to wedge the wire into the connector.

Has anyone else had similar problems and found a solution? (Not sure if the connector on the board is part of the motherboard or seperate).

All OEMs use locking clips, not just HP.  Broken locking clips are generally  not repairable except by a qualified SMT technician.

 

In some cases they can be MacGyver'ed by wedging a shim or using a block of foam to force the cable against the contacts.

I have wedged a shim in the connector and it has solved the problem for now - fingers crossed!
