When entering files, the pictures folder is no longer in quick access (on the side so it is a click away to access) , I have to search to find them. When I go into the folder and push pin to quick access it was not do anything, I can pin other folders just not pictures. The computer has also been restarted and still nothing. This also means that when I want to add a photo to the pictures album it does not also appear. how do I fix this?

@computerperson8, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Issues with Pinning the Pictures Folder to Quick Access!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're facing difficulties pinning the Pictures folder to Quick Access or experiencing issues with newly added photos not appearing in the Pictures album, follow these steps to resolve the problem:
Check Folder Permissions:
- Ensure that the Pictures folder has the necessary permissions. Right-click on the Pictures folder, select Properties, go to the Security tab, and verify that your user account has full control.
Clear Quick Access Cache:
- Sometimes Quick Access can become corrupted. To clear the cache:
- Open File Explorer.
- Right-click on Quick Access in the left pane and select Options.
- Under the General tab, click Clear next to Clear File Explorer history.
Reset Folders in Quick Access:
- Manually remove and re-add items in Quick Access:
- Unpin any current items in Quick Access by right-clicking on them and selecting Unpin from Quick Access.
- Attempt to pin the Pictures folder again by navigating to it, right-clicking, and selecting Pin to Quick Access.
Check for System Updates:
- Ensure your operating system is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
Rebuild the Search Index:
- If newly added photos aren't appearing, the search index might need rebuilding:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Indexing Options.
- Click Advanced.
- Select Rebuild under Troubleshooting.
Verify the Folder Path:
- Ensure that the Pictures folder is in the default location (usually C:\Users[Your Username]\Pictures). If it was moved or renamed, this might cause issues.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
