Subject: USB Device Descriptor Request Failed on HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF

Dear HP Support Team,

I’m facing an issue with my HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF desktop. When I connect USB devices (like my headphones), the system shows the error: "USB Device Descriptor Request Failed" under Device Manager. The headphones work perfectly on other PCs, so it's not the headphones causing the issue.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Tested different USB ports (front and rear), but the issue persists.

  2. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers for the USB controllers.

  3. Disabled USB selective suspend and performed a system restart.

  4. Updated BIOS to the latest version.

The issue seems to be isolated to USB devices, as other peripherals work fine.

Could you please assist in resolving this problem?

Thank you,
[Hisham]
