Hi @Khanrafeh,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the Power-On Authentication password (also known as the BIOS or startup password) on your HP laptop, unfortunately, it cannot be bypassed or disabled without the correct password. This is a security feature designed to protect the system from unauthorized access.

What You Can Do

1. Double-Check for Typos

  • Make sure Caps Lock or Num Lock isn’t interfering.
  • Try any passwords you might have used before.

2. After Multiple Failed Attempts

  • HP systems usually display a “System Disabled” message with a code after several incorrect tries.
  • This code is not a reset code—you’ll need to repair the Pc.

 Important Notes

  • There are no backdoor passwords for modern HP laptops.
  • Resetting the CMOS battery or opening the laptop will not remove the Power-On password on most newer models.
  • Attempting to bypass it through unofficial means may void your warranty or brick the device.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
