This continues to interfere with my programs and recently started causing my system to crash and burn.   How do I get rid of secure click so I can open files in the programs they were designed for.  Its crashing my accounting program, interfering in PDF's opening, and holding my spreadsheets hostage.   What is the easiest way to remove or inactivate this product.

Hi @CindiJ2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To remove or inactivate HP Secure Click, you can follow these steps. This will help to resolve issues where Secure Click is interfering with your programs, such as accounting software and PDF viewers:

Uninstall HP Secure Click:

  • Go to the Control Panel on your Windows computer.
  • Click on Programs or Programs and Features.
  • Locate HP Secure Click in the list of installed programs.
  • Select it and click Uninstall. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process.

Restart your computer:

  • After uninstallation, restart your computer to ensure any remaining components are removed and changes take effect.

Modify Browser Settings (if applicable):

  • Sometimes HP Secure Click can be integrated into your browser. Check for any related browser extensions and remove them if necessary.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
