Hi,

Why do a factory reset? It is sometimes possible to fix a faulty Windows installation. What are the symptoms?

This sounds like the HP Recovery partition on the HDD or SSD is gone.

HP Recovery media or cloud recovery options may exist.

I would need the PC's product number only (Link) to check.

Last option is to install Windows clean using Microsoft installation media.

All three options will cause data loss. Do you back up data?

Regards
