Hi. Iv'e got a HP Envy 750-079na. The 3tb drive that came with it has died. I spoke to SeaGate and they told me it's Hp's problem.
Iv'e downloaded the SeaGate bootable usb software. When I boot from the usb it gives me two options, I can either start the command line version or the GUI version.
The GUI version loads to a point then hangs but the command line loads fully. This is where I'm having trouble.
The software picks up the drive but I don't know how to run a test from the command line.
Has anyone else got any experience with this? Here's the link to it. https://www.seagate.com/files/old-support-files/seatools/USBbootSetup-SeaToolsBootable.zip
Can any genius out there help me out? I'm certain the drive is beyond repair but I'm a curious kind of person and I'd like to know I did all I could and at least tried.
Thanks in advance.
