HP All-in-One PC 22-dd0000i (9FK22AV)

I read the thread post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-and-Recovery/RAM-upgrade-for-HP-all-in-one-2...

and couldn’t respond further to the issues I’m having, so I’m posting new thread here.

I bought 2 of these for my kids and new ram. The new ram won’t allow the pc to boot and would like to know if I have purchased compatible ram.

my computer is a 22-dd0224 running windows 11

Ram purchased is

and we purchased 2 sticks of:

Timetec 8GB DDR4 2400MHz (DDR4-2400) PC4-19200 (PC4-2400T) Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL17 1Rx8 Single Rank 260 Pin SODIMM

and when I attempt to start the computer I get black screen and loud beeps. Put pen 4gb in, and it starts right up.

Your help is appreciated!

hi

neither of the two modules will work even if just one is in place?
if you look at what is recommended, in theory it seems correct

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07868200

4 GB DDR4-2400 MHz RAM (1 x 4 GB)

Memory upgrade information

  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Two DDR4 SODIMM (260-pin) sockets
  • Supports up to PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
    note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
  • Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) with two 8 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems

here not all the characteristics (voltage for example)
but if we refer to hp parts:

https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=1K0G7AA

L89715-001
SPS-MEM, SODIMM 4GB 1.2v DDR4-2666

so if either module doesn't work on its own, then either way, probably not much to do

that said, I don't know this brand, may be more expensive, but try a trusted brand
just an example, and do the scan, usually quite reliable
