Following MS 365 update in July, emails starting opening with no content and/or contorted graphics.  I used the Microsoft Repair function to see if it would help; instead, I could no longer open any MS 365 products (outlook, excel, word ),   I shut down the machine and when it attempted to restart, no bueno.   Ran thru Diagnose PC, Attempted Repair, did not work and blue screen of Repair and Trouble shoot options appeared.  Have tried every option and no change - will not repair, reset, restore or boot.  I can get to the command prompt and have run enough commands to know the hardware is fine. (However, SFC and DISM will not run either)  I stand ready to install Windows 11 over the Windows 10 corrupt? version from a bootable USB but hesitate as I cannot do an upgrade but have to custom install and not sure if I will  lose my data.

Any suggestions?

@picante2025, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check for Disk Errors

Open Command Prompt (from the recovery screen).

Type: chkdsk /f /r C:

This checks for disk errors and fixes them. It might take some time.

Boot into Safe Mode

Go to Advanced Startup Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.

Once it restarts, press F4 (or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking).

Try to fix any issues from Safe Mode (e.g., uninstalling updates or drivers).

Try System Restore

Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.

Choose a restore point from before the issue started. This won’t delete your files but might remove recent apps or updates.

Run Startup Repair

Go to Advanced Startup Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.

Let Windows try to fix the boot issues.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you.  Tried all suggested, no help. No errors indcated from chkdsk,   Ran SFC /scannow at command prompt and received message that Windows had detected integrity trust violations.  not sure what else to try.
