Hi,

I used HP Vision hardware diagnostic CD v 2.15.2 to test the RAM and Mainboard, all tests passed, the ram tests was quick tests, I have HP support assistant installed on my HP DC7900 but not sure if it is suitable for Elite 8200 PCs, are these assure that the ram and mainboard is not a cause of this issue?

Is there any other HP diagnostics I can try or non HP?

Thank you.

That MEMTEST that I cited is not "quick" -- it takes about 30 minutes for one complete "pass" through 2GB of RAM.

Most diagnostic utilities can only tell you that what is being tested is "bad" -- they are not extensive-enough to "prove" that the tested component is "good".

Hi, thank you for the updated answer, the HP vision took nearly same time 30 minues or slightly less for the ram test, there is another HP hardware testing called HP hardware diagnostics 3 in 1 USB Key would you recommend I try it to test the ram and mainboard?

I usually rely on PC POST for details about RAM and mainboard as PC will beeps if during this time tests find any problem.

Any more advices and for code 10 error is very much appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I have now tried the system restore but it did not help, I took restore point when card was installed and river working ok, then watched the driver every day I use the PC, both driver and card was working OK but only after few days I noted the card has disappeared again from the Device manager, I tried system restore but the card did not detected in Device manager, the only thing to make the card detected is by uninstalling the driver and the card and boot PC fwe times then install the card again, then it will be detected but only for few days.

I am not sure if it is driver issue or card issue or windows, any more help is very much appreciated.

thank you very much.
