My computer is a year old until about May it worked fine and I used it for work. Then I switched it on one day and it was very slow. So slow that it is totally unusable. The computer cannot even be used to watch a YouTube video.
I have contacted HP support many many times and they tell me to carry out the same operations.
It has been sent away to be 'repaired' twice and they say it is working 'within specification'.
It has just been returned again and it is still completely unusable. I have contacted support again who want my to go through the same operations. I feel like HP is just winding down the clock until my warranty runs out.
Is there anyone more senior I can contact to get a solution to this?

You did not identify your system nor exactly what is "slow" so I have no idea what the problem is.
Slow to boot up? Is Intel rapid start enabled or is it an AMD system.
Slow to watch youtube? Maybe the WiFi channel is congested or neighbor is using your WiFi and taking your bandwidth.
Install and run CPU-z and see what actual speed your CPU is running at. GPU-Z shows the speed of the video if you have a separate video board.
How much free space on the drive?
Look in the event viewer for error messages: timeouts, disk retries both in system and in applications.
Are you running more than one antivirus? get rid of McAfee or whatever and use Windows defender. If two antivirus are running then both will scan the same app loading or downloading and each will try to get exclusive access and timeouts of 30 second or more can occur constantly.

@RC-101 -- can you download/install/run the free SPECCY software?
Expand its "Storage" branch. Expand the "S.M.A.R.T." branch.
Do you see any "yellow" or "red" markers, or any "warning" wording?
If so, your disk-drive is failing, and is taking 100 or 1000 times the "normal" speed to do input/output.
Try to make a backup of all your personal files to an external disk-drive.
Replace the disk-drive.
Reinstall Windows.
Reload your personal files.
