HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are wanting to set BIOS Configuration and Password on some EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W Devices, to get them ready for possible Windows 11 via OSD TS. I have used BCU 4.0.32.1 successfully in the past with newer models, however, the 800 G2 I am testing with doesn't want to recognize the BIOS Password BIN File that is in the same folder as the EXE. I have tried both the recommended version 4.0.25.1 and the Latest 4.0.32.1. I am using the same lines I did in the past and in the documentation. To set password when BIOS doesn't have one "BiosConfigUtility64.exe" /npwdfile:"PWD3.bin" or to Clear "BiosConfigUtility64.exe" /npwdfile:"" /cpwdfile:"PWD1.bin" or to change "BiosConfigUtility64.exe" /npwdfile:"PWD2.bin" /cpwdfile:"PWD1.bin". It will just say it cannot find the BIN file, or Give Code 10 if one is set, but not recognize the password in the BIN file. I have tried both x64 and x86, used HPQPswd to create files right on the device itself. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue or know of what else to try.

Note: It does work to change configurations, I was successful on the 800 G2 in changing other BIOS Settings. I am just having trouble with the Password.

Hello

do you try with even older versions ?

I haven't tried anything older than 4.0.25.1, but I will try and grab an older version and see if can get it working.
