My PC is frozen on an update screen. It reads "The system BIOS is being updated. The Update will take a few minutes to complete.
Do not shut down or remove external power from your computer during the process.

Hi,
I really don't what you can do at this point. A bad BIOS update generally breaks the motherboard.
The BIOS update is locked at block 1535.
You will corrupt the update if you shut down. The BIOS update will not proceed any further when the system is running.
Contact HP for service if in warranty or replace the motherboard. This may not be cost effective if your PC is older.
