So about 2 weeks ago I was on my computer doing homework when all of a sudden it restarted and rebooted on its own. Upon restarting it and signing in, when I logged in and got to the desktop home page an error message appeared that stated in a blue box:
""We can't sign in to your account," Windows will create a temporary profile and sign you in to that one"
So countless times I kept trying to restart my computer and do as I was prompted. I tried creating a new account or using another account I already had, but the same message and issue kept happening. I've tried a few trouble shooting ideas and I am hoping theres a few more I haven't tried that'll solve my problem.
Any help or advice is welcomed!
Thank you

Good news is problem solved. In the middle of trying one of the options, my norton security alerted me on how my windows was infected and so I undergoed a complete system cleanse, update, and reset. So everything is back to normal.

This is an article for Win 8 but will work with Windows 10 as well. Please, follow it to fix the issue >> https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/38817-youve-been-signed-temporary-profile-fix.html
Note - it is important to back up your data as described in the article itself.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
