HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i RCTO Base Model

This Bios update fails every time that I try to run it. Goes through all the steps with creating the image and reboots a couple of times and then provides an error message stating that it could not open the new image. Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution. My current Bios version is F.30 and my system board is 8B3B A (SMVB)

Thanks for the product number.

Your PC Here has the RenoR MB Here.

The RenoR MB SSID is 8B3B. The BIOS Update Here is for the RenoR MB SSID 8B3B. So this BIOS update should work with your PC.

This BIOS update is recommended. It includes the Intel patch for 13th Gen and 14th Gen CPU degradation.

But, the product numbers don't match. Your PC product number is 8S0B9AV. The product number at the BIOS update link is 8R3Q6AV. I can't find a 8S0B9AV BIOS update.

HP uses the same MB in different HP PCs.

The problem is: this BIOS update may change OEM configurable ROM regions. This could mess up the warranty, the product SKU, and other items. You would be good to go if this BIOS only included the Intel CPU patch.

I don't know what to tell you.

Maybe a different Forum member can find the exact 8S0B9AV BIOS update for your specific HP PC.

Regards

What is the source of the BIOS update?

There may be a valid reason why the BIOS update is failing.

TE01-5000i is a generic HP product number.

Please provide a specific HP Product Number for better assistance. Check this Site for details.

The BIOS update you are trying to install may be incompatible.

The latest BIOS update, I could find for a TE01-5000i PC is Here. But it is best to use the specific HP Product number when doing BIOS updates.
