@anshu11soni, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Desktop All-in-One PC is very slow and taking a long time to open apps, here are several steps you can follow to improve its performance:

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on Check for updates to install any pending updates.

Clean Up Disk Space:

  • Use Disk Cleanup to remove unnecessary files.
  • Press Windows key + R, type cleanmgr, and press Enter.
  • Select the drive you want to clean, usually (C:), and follow the prompts to remove temporary files and system cache.

Optimize Startup Programs:

  • Disable unnecessary startup programs that may be slowing down your computer.
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, then go to the Startup tab.
  • Disable non-essential programs by right-clicking and selecting Disable.

Check for malware:

  • Use Windows Defender or a trusted third-party antivirus to scan and remove malware.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security.
  • Click on Virus & Threat Protection and select Quick Scan.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure all your drivers are up to date.
  • Open Device Manager by pressing the Windows key + X and selecting Device Manager.
  • Right-click each category and select Update driver.

Adjust Performance Settings:

  • Change your system's performance settings.
  • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced system settings.
  • Under the Performance section, click Settings and select Adjust for best performance.

Check Hard Drive Health:

  • Defragment and optimize your hard drive.
  • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools and select Defragment and Optimize Drives.
  • Select your primary drive and click Optimize.
