I have HP Pavilion Elite I turn on no screen only beeps one short and one long. computer turns on but will not boot up. Fans work what can be problem. I took ram card out and it booted put back in it stopped, This computer has 4 2gig sticks ram. I removed the iOS battery waited put back still beeps. Help should I replace ram or power source.

looking at the new here, it doesn't seem to match

for some motherboard models, this could correspond to this:

BIOS AMI UEFI
1 short beep / 1 long beep CPU refresh problem. Check the CPU FAN connection. If the problem persists, change the fan.

BIOS Award
1 long beep + 1 short beep Motherboard or RAM error Test your RAM modules and your motherboard.
