HP ENVY 23-d018d TouchSmart All-in-One DesktopPC  couldnt able to boot, need to take backup and repair.. please advise where and how to get the USB drive for recovery and backup

Your machine has 1TB of storage now. Please use a portable HDD such as

 

           https://cplonline.com.au/storage/external-hard-drives/seagate-sthn1000401-1tb-backup-plus-slim-porta...     (for 1TB)

 

or

 

      https://cplonline.com.au/storage/external-hard-drives/seagate-sthn2000400-2tb-backup-plus-slim-porta...      (for 2TB)

 

After fully restore your machine, you can use it as an external HDD.

 

Note: You can buy them from any good computer store. The above drives are for example, there are MANY other brands around.
