Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

unable to get into bios and hard drive has failed wont go passed hp screen and or a menu pops up saying bios revision occurred and wont go into startup menu or setup or anything need bios file

please help

Hi,

 

It sounds like you may two different problems.

 

A HDD failure should not prevent access to the BIOS.

 

Did you run HP Boot time diagnostics to verify HDD failure? Or did you receive a HDD failure message at boot?

 

Did you recently update the BIOS?

 

You can refer to this HP Support site (Link) for instructions on recovering the BIOS.

 

HP Diagnostics can be run by following directions at this HP Support site (Link).

 

You may have a different hardware problem if you cannot POST and are locked at the HP Logo screen.
