HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-0034
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my HP Envy TEO1 specifically because it was recommended for use with the Adobe Creative Suite. It came with core i7 processor and 16GB RAM, which I was told was plenty. It worked fine for a while, but it is now completely unusable. When Windows 11 was able to be installed, the computer blue-screened crashed over and over. The only fix was to continue to use Windows 10. Presently, the computer cannot run Photoshop without crashing with basic edits. I guess I am just completely surprised that the money I used and the specs I chose were pointless when it comes to using this computer long term. Is there something I can do to make this computer work efficiently again? Or is it time to go with a new computer? If so I will not get an HP again.

@Cory921, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Update everything from HP’s website: BIOS, graphics drivers, and chipset drivers.

HP Consumer Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) (Windows) | HP® Support

HP PCs - Downloading or updating software and drivers | HP® Support

Check your SSD and RAM:

Use HP diagnostics to see if your drive is working fine.

You can perform an extensive system test to check the entire unit for any potential hardware issues.

In Photoshop, go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and turn off GPU acceleration. That might stop the crashes.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
