My PC was having issues on boot, and then started to crash to Windows blue screen. I checked Updates through Settings, and it showed I needed a Windows 10 update (I can't remember the exact name). I started the update, but then the computer crashed. Now I cannot boot the system, and cannot get into BIOS. I realize now that I should have set all power options to not shut down or sleep. Do I have any options (even through a outside an service technician)? I am not very hardware savy, but could I connect the internal drive that stores the partition and the OS to an outside computer and then reinstall the OS?

Unfortunately, you have several different serious issues.

When you got the Blue Screen, you should have STOPPED what you are doing and posted here.  I would have then provided you links to where you could have posted your problem to get assistance -- as we here do not have the resources to troubleshoot Blue Screen issues.

But ...you kept going and NOW, Windows Update has corrupted your PC to the point of making it unusable. There is no simple way to fix this as Windows would need to be installed.

As to your last suggestion, sorry but that will not work.  Installing on a different PC will force the installation of different drivers and when you then reattach the drive to your PC, most likely it will not boot -- due to driver conflicts.

If you take the PC to a PC repair facility, they might be able to get it booting again, but if THEY reinstall Windows, they will most likely install the WRONG version and you then will not have the HP drivers you need for the hardware.  What I would suggest is that you read the info below on the HP Cloud Recovery option and use that to create a 32 GBUSB stick that the repair facility could then use to install the CORRECT version of Windows for you:

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

Thanks for the quick response and info. I will not be able to try any of these steps until Monday, but appreciate the detailed solution.
