Recently I have been getting a BSOD when trying to run certain games. Originally, there was an error code of "Driver Verifier Detected Violation" related to a stop code for EasyAntiCheat. I don't have an issue running other games so far, just the larger ones which use anti-cheat software.
After contacting other supports and doing some work on my system, it now only shows the "System Service Exception" and periodically will state "Kernel Power" and have a critical error in my Event Viewer after a random restart or when trying to run those games. Microsoft hasn't been able to resolve the issue, so I am here wondering if it's a hardware issue like needing to look at my graphics cards or power supply.
Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt CTO is experiencing BSOD crashes when running games and now you're seeing System Service Exception and Kernel Power errors.
Let's go through some targeted troubleshooting steps.
Step 1: Check Event Viewer for Specific Errors
- Open Event Viewer (Win + X > Event Viewer).
- Navigate to Windows Logs > System.
- Look for Critical Errors related to Kernel-Power or System Service Exception.
- Note any specific driver or hardware failures mentioned.
Step 2: Update Graphics & Chipset Drivers
- Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
- Expand Display Adapters and Chipset.
- Right-click each driver and select Update Driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart your PC after updating.
Step 3: Disable Driver Verifier
- Open Command Prompt (Admin) (Win + X > Command Prompt (Admin)).
- Type:
verifier /reset - Press Enter and restart your PC.
Step 4: Check Power Supply Stability
- If your power supply unit (PSU) is underpowered or failing, it can cause Kernel Power errors.
- Use HWMonitor or Open Hardware Monitor to check voltage stability.
- If voltage fluctuates significantly, consider testing with a higher-wattage PSU.
Step 5: Run Memory & Disk Checks
Check RAM for Errors
- Open Windows Memory Diagnostic (Win + R, type mdsched.exe, press Enter).
- Select Restart now and check for problems.
Check Disk for Corruption
- Open Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type:
chkdsk /f /r - Press Enter and restart.
Step 6: Reinstall EasyAntiCheat
- Navigate to your game’s installation folder.
- Locate the EasyAntiCheat setup file.
- Run the installer and select Repair.
- Restart your PC and test the game.
Let me know what happens at each step, and I’ll guide you further if needed!

Hi Hawks_Eye!
So I had checked power issues (Step 1 & 4) with no progress previously, and completed updates on drivers and software (Step 2 & 6). I had never done Step 3 or Step 5b (I had done 5a with nothing changing), but whichever of those worked on my system FINALLY resolved my issue!! I am stoked after two weeks of back and forth with several IT agents that you finally got it running my games again without issue. I hope it lasts, but for now you have figured it out and resolved the problem - thank you!!
