Hi @TnDad1980

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Acknowledged. The HP Inc. SoftwareComponent Driver Update (version 1.85.4368.0) not downloading or installing successfully can be resolved by following recommended steps:

Open HP App

  • Ensure the HP App is updated to the latest version from the Microsoft Store.
  • Launch the HP App and check for pending updates under Updates.

Run HP Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App.
  • Navigate to Support > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to scan and automatically repair issues that may block driver installation.

Use HP Support Assistant

  • Open HP Support Assistant (preinstalled on most HP devices or available from HP’s official site).
  • Select Updates and check for the SoftwareComponent Driver update.
  • If available, attempt installation directly through Support Assistant.

Manual Driver Installation via HP Website

  • Visit the official HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your product name or serial number.
  • Locate the SoftwareComponent Driver (version 1.85.4368.0).
  • Download and install manually by running the installer file.

Restart and Recheck

  • After installation, restart the computer.
  • Reopen HP App or HP Support Assistant to confirm the driver shows as installed.

This structured approach ensures the update is applied using HP’s official tools and resources.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
