I was using my Omen 27q monitor, however it suddenly stopped displaying anything. restarting my computer didn't help so I tried to turn the monitor off. However I did so by holding the power button in for around 10-20 seconds. Since it has turned back on it will only display the whole screen being red/green/blue. I don't have access to the menu, I attempted a power cycle but that didn't help. The only thing I've been able to do is lock the power button.
I tried updating the frimwhere however the entire thing is in chinese and as far as I can tell doesn't work (I pressed the only blue button avaliable and it just closed doing nothing)
Any assistance to get it displaying anything again would be helpful. I don't want to buy another monitor

Hi @Fencer1223
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your OMEN 27q monitor might be stuck in a diagnostic or color test mode, which can happen if certain buttons are pressed for an extended period.
Here's what you can try to resolve this issue:
Check Cables and Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected. Try using different cables or ports (HDMI, DisplayPort) to rule out cable/port issues.
Reset Monitor Settings: Although you mentioned that you cannot access the menu, some monitors have a reset function that can be activated without the menu access. You might want to check the monitor's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a factory reset without menu access. This often involves pressing specific buttons on the monitor in a certain sequence.
Disconnect All Devices: Unplug all devices from the monitor and unplug the monitor from its power source. Wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in and reconnecting your devices.
Connect to a Different Computer: If possible, try connecting the monitor to a different computer to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the monitor itself or with the original computer's settings.
Check for Physical Faults: Look for any unusual signs such as loose parts or physical damage which could indicate hardware failure.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it might be a hardware fault within the monitor. In such a case, contacting HP phone support for assistance or potential repair might be the best course of action.
