When I try to use "HP PC Diagnostics Windows 2.1.0.0" to check for BIOS update, I always get "Please connect this computer to the internet", though my computer is already connected to 200 Mbps internet. Please advice what to do.

Hi

I would not update the BIOS for a while if your PC is working correctly. There have been some faulty BIOS updates at the end of 2022 into early 2023. Some updates cause instability. Some updates are corrupting the BIOS.

Recovering the PC after a bad BIOS update is a fairly complex procedure.

Here is the latest Windows 10 BIOS update for your PC. Proceed at your own risk.

Thanks for your very quick reply. But my problem is not for updating the BIOS. Infact when I try to check for BIOS update I get the response that the PC is not connected with internet though it is connected with 200 Mbps speed internet. What I want to know is how to connect the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Window" to internet. I am thankful for your kind advice. I will remember it.

Hi @pkbajpai1210

My pleasure.

2.1.0.0 is the latest version. Try This version.

I don't have any current HP PCs. Did not know you could check for BIOS updates using HP Diagnostics. HP Support Assistant (HPSA) will check for various updates.

You can download HPSA Here.
