Hello everyone,

 

I recently formatted my hard drive using a program on a bootable USB in preparation of reinstalling windows. Now windows will not install on this drive. When I run the HP Hardware Diagnostics to check the drive, it gives me a failure ID. is there any way to look up what this code means?

 

FAILURE ID : 94PMBR-000AKH-WPQE3F-60U103

Product ID : 1FY88UT

You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, you can use the HP cloud recovery client utility to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

 

This package provides the Cloud Recovery Client for supported computer models running a supported operating system. This Client Utility enables users to download the Recovery Kit from the cloud
