I had a HP printer problem, the colors were not printing after replacing all color cartridges.

I went online to hp.com and the HP website CHAT redirected me to an “EXPERT” technician at

[content removed]. I called the number and was redirected. To the following number [content removed].

The “EXPERT” at [content removed] identified himself as David Waugh. David requested control of my computer, which I granted.

He then explained many of the trackers on my computer who were scammers gathering personal data.

David then prceeded to outline a Microsoft protection plan.for over$800, to which  I declined.

When my computer control was returned to me all my programs apps (Microft 365 etc)  were deleted.

I am unable to access any of my programs.

800-929-0281  is "Orlate, Inc"

They are not BBS accredited but you can complain anyway

https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/san-antonio/profile/information-technology-services/orlate-inc-0825-100010...

Visiting their (BBS) web site goes to a Chinese jackpot gambling page.   If they are a tech support service their web site has been hacked.

Their Facebook page might be an additional place to complain.  At a minimum you can complain about the gambling site that the BBS shows for them.

It is likely you mis-typed the original contact and ended up at a phishing site.

Your office 365 can be downloaded from Microsoft at any time.  Just log into your account and check your subscription.
