HP Pavilion All in one windows 10 update failure

HP Recommended
Pavilion all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

During an windows 10 update on August 31, 2020  the computer started resetting again and again.   Only Safe mode works, however the START key is unresponsive and the Update & security menu is missing from the control panel.    HP recovery manager runs but is unable to  reset the hard drive.   HP restore also fails with an unknown error.  hp diagnostics uefi  does not find any hardware errors.

Finally, I am unable to find the Microsoft product key sticker so I can install a whole new windows 10.

The machine was purchased at best buy in 2015

What can I do?

Hi:

If you want to try clean installing W10, you don't need the product key because it is in the BIOS of the PC.

Make bootable installation media using the media creation tool from the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
