Hi
I am attempting to repair my daughters PC, it started out with numerous blue screens occurring. I decided to download a software to update all the drivers as the blue screens could be due to out of date drivers.
Now after doing this the keyboard and mouse only work in the BIOS and recovery options menu, I am locked out of Windows and can't log in.
I have attempted all of the restore points which told me there was a problem with C drive. So I have performed the chkdsk command which did not seem to solve anything.
I have tried botting into safe mode, same issue, no keyboard or mouse to log into windows. I have tried disabling the driver adapters mode, legacy mode, default bios settings, start up repair.
At this point i am sure there is a serious corruption in windows and I want to do a clean install but I need to log into windows to back up my files before I can do this. I am not sure where to go from here, any suggestions?44
Many thanks

Given the date of your post, I would have expected someone to respond to it before this -- but since that has not happened, I will take a shot at it ...
Is this a laptop or desktop, and what is the model number?
You want to do some backups, but the only thing you will actually be able to back up is your personal data, You can't back up your settings or any of the applications. Since you can login to safe mode, you should be able to insert a USB stick and run File Manager to copy the files and folders you want to save to a USB stick.
