HP Pavilion TP01-1016 desktop occasionally locks up with the screen going crazy (see video)
The system will not respond to keyboard or mouse actions and I cannot remote into the machine. This happens very unpredictably. It can run fine for days, then this will happen. Only a power shutdown and reboot will fix it until the next time.

@ppburns -- Windows has "crashed", and has become totally unresponsive.
It is possible that some of the "video memory buffer" has been overwritten by programming code, or your data (such as elements of a MS Excel worksheet), and the video-adapter is trying to display that "random" collection of bits.
After you restart your computer, run the Windows "Event Viewer", to see if Windows was able to record some information about the "crash" into one of its "log-books".

I seem to be getting a number of these PCI Express Endpoint messages. I don't know if these are related to the crashes. Is it possible to upload an error log file with the before and after messages?

@ppburns -- did you purchase the HP computer within the last 12 months? If so, contact HP Support to open a claim against the HP Warranty. HP should repair/replace your computer, at their expense.
Hint: make a complete backup of your Personal FIles, before you send your computer to the nearest HP Service Centre, just in case that they (foolishly) "wipe" your disk-drive, or replace it, before returning it to you.
Be sure to declare that it is an "intermittent" problem. They may (foolishly) start it up, see that it works for 60 seconds, and declare "there is nothing wrong". Sigh.
