Microsoft Windows XP

I have an HP Desktop that I got from craigs list for 0$. (wow i know.)

It was all working fine until one startup had the fans spinning at max speed. I don't know why they are, they just are.

I'm hoping someone's has some chipset drivers for fan control. (all drivers would be nice)

because the loud noise is getting to me ;-;

Thanks.

(reminder the pc is: HP Pavilion a1000)

The driver link I gave you should be good for all of the models in the a1000 model series.

It's the only page available and we are no longer permitted to provide links to 3rd party driver websites like we used to be.

question when trying to update the bios using the bios drivers.

it shows up with an error after it fails to restart. after a few seconds the window closes.

can you please help me?

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.

To prevent causing permanent damage to your PC, I recommend that you do not try and update the BIOS if you are experiencing problems with running the update.

There are 4 different motherboard BIOS updates listed on the support page and only one of them is the right one for your PC, and I have no idea which of the 4 different variations is the right one for your PC.
