the pavilion laptop (brought in 2018) screen will suddenly go black then grey lines will flicker on it with grey squares appearing. the Laptop will reboot itself and the problem re-occurs. Hard reset carried out, LCD screen issue ruled out. Has anyone else encountered a problem like this? Thanks

Within Windows -> System Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> disable automatic restart

Maybe, you'll see an error-message that could be relevant.

If it is not an issue with the LCD screen, it could be a problem with the graphics-adapter inside the computer, or a problem on the motherboard. Try downloading the "HP Hardware Diagnostics", and burn the image onto a CD-R. Boot your computer from the CD, and run the diagnostics.
