My model is a 690-0067c.  My product id 3la37aa#aba doesn't work to download recovery media.  It says it is invalid.

 

Please advise how to proceed.

According to the spec for your 690-0067c. system you have cloud recovery

 

  • HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10 and 11)

    The HP Cloud Recovery Tool is an application developed by HP.  It enables customers to access a digital download of their recovery media and create a bootable USB drive (Minimum 32GB) to recover their units back to factory status.

There is possibly a problem with the flash drive. 

Download the recovery file onto a Windows system that you have admin rights to.

Once it's downloaded you execute the program and it will format the 32 gig flash drive and install the software

 

You then have to boot the usb drive in the computer you want to restore

The flash drive is good.  I can install linux from it just fine.  HP Cloud Recovery says my product ID is invalid.  Never gets to the point of accessing the flash drive.Screenshot 2024-07-24 at 5.02.28 PM.png

 Contact HP about how your system is listed as having cloud backup but the ID is not recognized.
